About SE Lacrosse

Southeastern Oklahoma State University Lacrosse is a club program set for WCLA play in the Spring of 2018 and MCLA play in the Spring of 2019. Both teams will play a full slate of games throughout Oklahoma and Texas in 2018. The university currently offers scholarships in the form of Out of State Tuition Waivers as well as numerous In-State University Scholarships for students who qualify within the state of Oklahoma. The club is fully self funded, with a great deal of support coming from numerous Durant area community businesses as well as the Delloro Family.

 

SE Lacrosse Coaching Staff

The Southeastern Oklahoma State Lacrosse program is coached by Mike Delloro, in his 2nd year at the helm. He has more than 19 years of lacrosse experience as a player and coach. As a coach, Mike has more than eleven (11) years of lacrosse experience at the youth, middle school, high school, and college levels. Mike is a U.S. Lacrosse Level 3 Certified Lacrosse Coach. He is also a Canadian Lacrosse Association Level 2 Certified Lacrosse Coach.

Mike is a native Texan and grew up in San Antonio, TX. He grew up in an ice hockey family, which in turn introduced him to lacrosse at an early age. Mike began playing lacrosse in middle school and continued playing in high school at Central Catholic High School in San Antonio, where he played Midfield and Attack. He led Central Catholic High School in numerous statistical categories throughout his four years as a player. One of the most notable was leading the team in assists and points per game as an upperclassman. Mike was also a part of the Central Catholic lacrosse team that beat Austin Westlake in one of the biggest upsets in THSLL history. In 2004, Mike was invited to the Top 99 Recruiting Combine and was an Inaugural All-Star Team Selection. He received college lacrosse offers and interest from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (NY-NCAA D3) and St. Leo (FL-NCAA D2).

Mike is a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University (“SOSU”). While at SOSU, he was a four (4) year scholarship student-athlete for the SOSU Golf and Tennis teams (2006-2010). He then attended the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. While in college, Mike also played with the Trinity University Men’s Lacrosse Club. After college, he played for the North Dallas Men’s Lacrosse Club and the Tulsa Lacrosse Men’s Lacrosse Club.

Mike is the Founder of both the Texoma Lacrosse Club in Denison, TX and the Durant Lacrosse Association in Durant, OK. Mike is also the co-Founder and coach of Outlaws Lacrosse, a high school select travel lacrosse academy in North Texas, Southern Oklahoma, and Kansas. Mike is the former Head Coach of the Varsity Shawnee Lacrosse Club in Shawnee, Oklahoma. In 2015-2016, Mike was the Associate Head Coach for the University of Oklahoma Sooners Men’s Lacrosse team and most recently served as an Assistant Coach to Mario Enea handling the scouting and substitution boxes on the Sooner sidelines. Currently, Mike serves as the Advisor and Head Coach of Southeastern Oklahoma State University Savage Storm Lacrosse program.

Mike’s biggest coaching influences are Kelly Amonte Hiller (Northwestern), Cathy Reese (Maryland), Kevin Corrigan (Notre Dame), and Jim Berkman (Salisbury).
